Clean water access underpins health and equity, while resilient urban water systems combat scarcity in growing cities. Responsible water stewardship reduces industrial waste, and climate-smart practices safeguard against droughts and floods. Protecting aquatic ecosystems and terrestrial biodiversity relies on unpolluted waterways.
Initiatives like One Drop—highlighting water conservation—showcase how holistic water management bridges these goals, creating ripple effects that nourish communities, ecosystems, and economies alike.
One Drop's moodboard is all about two exciting themes: first, we're diving into how other creatives have captured the ripples in water and finding ways to weave that magic into our packaging. Second, we're on a nostalgic journey, exploring character designs with a fun, vintage vibe from the 60s and 70s, aiming to bring that playful, mischievous charm to our water tetrapak packaging.
The concept was imagined around the similarities we have with water. A drop can generate movement, and disturbance in a system of preconceived ideas as can we. Through awareness and actions that will lead to increased sustainability for human and ecological systems.
Drawing inspiration from the mood board, I crafted a playful character that looks like a child speaking. This character, shaped like a drop of water, beautifully represents the bond between people and water. Our friendly cartoon figure is surrounded by rippling lines, showing how the message is reaching out to others.
